This course introduces fundamental components of software development and programming.
This course prepares students in the basics of software development, development problem-solving skills in C#, and the syntax of the C# programming language. Ranging from basic arithmetic to ‘if’ statements and loops, this course covers the foundations of C# coding using Windows Forms, and introduces Object-Oriented Programming using .NET and C#.
This course provides students with the knowledge and skills required to interpret and develop client-side and server-side web-based applications utilising contemporary software development and web standards.
This course equips students with knowledge and skills of business analysis to perform requirements analysis and customise a secure and accessible web solution.
This course introduces students to client-side development to create responsive web solutions.
This course allows students to develop knowledge and skills in application security principles as well as server-side scripting.
This course allows students to gain knowledge in applying data management and storage technologies to support the software application and the development process.
This course allows students to select and apply appropriate software architectures, tools and technologies for a software solution. It provides knowledge and understanding to implement web services and microservices.
This course allows students to gain knowledge about abstract data types and the skills to implement those using fundamental data structures. They will also be able to implement algorithmic solutions to common problems.
This course allows students to explore advanced concepts in the design and development of mobile applications using appropriate software and architectural patterns.
This course allows students to develop cross platform mobile apps using appropriate software architectural patterns, including relevant language and/or frameworks.
This course allows students to develop skills in various testing techniques, defect tracking, version control procedures, and other software maintenance techniques.
To provide students with skills in software project planning and management, with a focus on Agile approaches to software development.
This course will enable students to explicitly apply the design thinking principles by evaluating, designing, developing a solution to an industry-based IT project within their specialist field, utilising advanced information technology principles and techniques. To manage a project and associated risks from inception to implementation, appraising, justifying and mitigating decision making.
